Sprouts Continuing Education

Brookline Sprouts is committed to maintaining high-quality programming through ongoing professional development. All staff members are required to complete annual trainings mandated by the Pennsylvania Department of Human Services (DHS) and Keystone STARS, including but not limited to health and safety, child development, emergency preparedness, and all other topics prescribed by regulations. In addition to these required hours, we strongly encourage all employees to pursue lifelong learning, expand their skills, and participate in optional trainings that support best practices, strengthen classroom quality, and contribute to their professional growth.

All classroom staff will also complete necessary vendor training for current curriculum, screeners, and assessment tools.

Non-instructional and support staff are also expected to engage in training that is relevant to their job duties. They will complete at least Non-instructional Staff: Create a Positive Climate for Children training. This may include, but is not limited to, training related to ELRC invoicing, USDA Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) recordkeeping, administrative procedures, customer service, safety practices, or other operational responsibilities. These trainings ensure that all members of our team are equipped with the knowledge and competencies necessary to support the overall functioning of our program.
