Media Inquiry Policy
Appearance
Purpose
The purpose of this Media Inquiry Policy is to manage and safeguard the public image of our organization across all its branches: the Church, Brookline Sprouts, Brookline Christian Food Pantry, and South Pittsburgh Opioid Action Coalition.
Scope
This policy applies to all employees and volunteers across the organization.
Designated Spokesperson
- The Senior Pastor is the designated spokesperson for all media inquiries.
- The Senior Pastor may appoint a temporary spokesperson for specific situations if necessary.
Training
- Training for handling media inquiries will be provided by the Senior Pastor, particularly if a temporary spokesperson is appointed.
Procedure for Handling Media Inquiries
- All media inquiries should be directed to the Senior Pastor.

Approval Process
- No information or data should be released to the media without the explicit consent of the Senior Pastor, referred to as "Lance" internally.
Emergency Situations
- During emergencies, all media comments and inquiries should be directed to the Senior Pastor.
- If the Senior Pastor is unavailable, inquiries should be directed to the Secretary of the Governing Board.
Confidentiality and Sensitivity
- Employees and volunteers must refrain from discussing confidential or sensitive information unless explicitly authorized by the Senior Pastor.
Record Keeping
- No specific record keeping of media interactions is required under this policy.
