Discipleship Payments Policy

Purpose:

The purpose of this policy is to address guidelines regarding financial investments toward curricula offered at Tree of Life that has an established cost.

The vision of discipleship programming at Tree of Life is to develop a solid foundation and structure for spiritual formation so that established, solid disciples can mature into confident leaders. We aspire for legacy. To invest in this long-term vision, Tree of Life offers a variety of challenging curricula and courses that do, at times, translate to a financial cost for these investments. This policy offers direction in resolving a participant’s financial challenges in an agreed-upon, timely manner while still allowing the disciple to engage in the curriculum.

Payments are due by the event launch date.

If a balance is unsatisfied by the deadline, the following guidelines apply:

Late fees:

Unsatisfied student balances are to be satisfied by Tree of Life scholarship funds up front so everyone may receive their materials on time. Any payment plans must satisfy balances in a timely manner. “Late” is defined by the registration deadline for each group/event.

Payment plan:

In order for the group to receive materials in a timely manner to conduct orientation and begin study, Tree of Life streamlines the financial process by paying the third party one lump sum for all group materials up front. Participants then reimburse Tree of Life.This standard provides a streamlined and efficient administrative, record-keeping process.

For groups sponsored by Tree of Life, “timely” is defined as within the first 25% of course time. For groups studying a third-party program, “timely” is based on the third party’s enrollment/withdrawal deadline and subject to a late fee the day after the course launches at the rate outlined according to this policy. Late fees are assigned to the Get FEDD! scholarship fund.

If the curriculum/course is through a third party:

Students completing the course with an open balance will receive their certificate when the balance is satisfied. Balances satisfied by scholarship funds are not eligible for reimbursement, either through Tree of Life’s Education Reimbursement Policy or by the third party.
