Purpose

At Tree of Life Open Bible Church (the “Company”), we all work hard to contribute to the success of the Company, each in different capacities. In an effort to recognize everyone’s contributions and create a well-balanced life, we have created an unpaid time off policy designed to provide employees with the flexibility of taking unpaid time off for uninterrupted periods of rest and relaxation.

Policy

All employees are eligible to take unpaid take time off once they have completed ninety (90) days of continuous employment.

Unpaid time off is provided to employees so that they may rest and enjoy time with their families, and we strongly encourage everyone to schedule unpaid time off each year.

Time off must be scheduled and approved by management at least two (2) weeks in advance. This allows you and your supervisor to prepare for your time off and assure that all staffing needs are met.

Every effort will be made to grant an employee’s unpaid time off request; however, the Company reserves the right, if necessary, to designate periods during which employees are expected to schedule their unpaid time off in order to accommodate overall work schedules. The Company reserves the right to deny an employee's unpaid time off request if, in the Company’s sole judgment, scheduling the time off at the time sought would hinder the business operation. The employee is responsible for requesting time off with his or her direct supervisor.

Employees are responsible for emailing a request for time off and timely submitting the request to his/her manager for approval prior to making and finalizing travel arrangements.
