If the students become too loud or rowdy, blink the lights in the room to draw their attention back to the task at hand. You may also utilize counting down from 5 to redirect the class collectively. Raising our voices should be used as a last resort when there are safety concerns only.

Staff can ask the children to have “bubbles” if they need to be silent (holding a bubble in their mouths), and to have “shark fins” (hands above their head together in a point) to keep their hands to themselves. This is especially during transitions and lining up.
