Teachers use an authoritative feeding style during every meal and snack time.

Maintain structure of meals and snacks by following the guidelines laid out of how meal times will be presented to children.

Everyone comes in and sits, raises a quiet hand for any condiments being offered.

Eat and socialize for the next 10 minutes.  Seconds will then be offered.  Water can now be poured.  Teachers may assist in this task.

After scheduled meal time has elapsed everyone will take their dishes and cups over to each room's designated trash area.

Food will be placed in garbage.  Any left over Liquids will be dumped in a bucket.  Cups and dishes will be placed into the bus tub.

Students will then return to sit or go to the bathroom per teachers instructions.

During eating everyone will receive a complete CACFP approved meal and milk.

Teachers will be encouraging and positively reinforcing the rules.

Remember: there will be no forcing children to eat, refusing foods, food rewards, or shaming.

Verbal praise is sufficient.  Do not compare children.

Teachers eat with children and model the behaviors we are encouraging.

Our ultimate goal is to make mealtimes pleasurable and positive for everyone involved.
